Task Won't Indent on Import - HELP

TKGerdie

I am importing an XML file into Microsoft Project 2007. The XML file does
contain the appropriate Outline Levels. The first day that Microsoft Project
was installed on my computer the indenting worked fine. However, the next
day it stopped indenting. We removed Microsoft Project and re-installed it
and it started indenting again. Once I went home for the day and came back
the next day, it stopped indenting again. I can export the exact same XML
file and after it is first installed it brings over the correct Outline
Levels. But when it isn't indenting, it has changed all the Outline Level
numbers to 1. HELP>

The first thing to do with project 2007 is update to SP2. Do not pass go and
certainly don't bother testing anything until this is done.

If the problem still persists after upgrading, then I can't explain it.
Hopefully someone else can.

TKGerdie:

I recently worked on a similar issue and after some hacking at it I
discovered that by setting the IsNull task property to 0 and setting an
OutlineNumber value as per the Project XML spec I was able to get the
indenting to act correctly. Not sure if it was just the IsNull value that
fixed it or the combination, but now that I am including both in my XML I get
the indentation as I would expect.
