Taskbar appears at start of slideshow

Is there a way to prevent the taskbar from popping up at the bottom of the
screen when a slideshow is started? I am sending a slideshow with
instructions to the user to double-click the file name to start it. But
sometimes - not always - the taskbar flashes onscreen for the first couple of
seconds, then disappears. i would like to stop this from happening. Is that
possible?
