Taskbar Arrow

I have XP and a new problem has started.

Every now and then, the white arrow (left facing
triangle) disappears in the lower right corner of the
taskbar covering the hidden icons.

I only have four icons (Norton, WinZip, PopupStopper and
Speaker plus Time). This arrow disappears so that I
can't get to the speaker icon if I need to mute or lower.

Anyone else have this problem? or better yet a solution?
