taskbar location

Why is the taskbar on my screen located 'right vertical' instead of at the
bottom of the screen, and how do I fix it?

Right-click on a blank area of the taskbar, and make sure the
"Lock the Taskbar" option is not checked. Drag the taskbar to
the bottom of the screen.
