I accidently clicked something on top of my taskpad under the right side
mini-calendars and the list of tasks disappeared. what did I do and how do I
get back my taskpad view with my list of tasks?

In 2002 and 2003 you click View | TaskPad from the menu.

In 2007 - click the tiny chevron in the top right corner to maximise it.

View Menu->Taskpad. If Outlook 2007, View->ToDo bar.

After furious head scratching, Dusty Rose asked:

I need to clarify: The taskpad is still there, but the only items visible are
the check blocks on the left side of the taskpad - but all of my tasks listed
beside each of those check blocks is visibly missing. I was moving my mouse
and clicked on something on top of the task list and all of sudden all the
tasks disappeared and all that was left for the check off boxes and a blank
taskpad list.

You have lost sight of various fields/columns and are only seeing the
Complete field. Gte them back by right clicking on the Complete box at the
TOP of the TaskPad. Select Field Chooser. Grab and drag the feilds you want
from the Field Chooser window back up to the top of that table that used to
have Subject, Due date etc at the top.
