I'd like to use Entourage's tasks like I use a paper planner. For example- Let's say today is Monday. I have to take out the trash on Thursday, so I go to Thursday's page, write in "take out trash" and I'm done. I go back to Monday's page and I don't see Thursdays task, I only see Monday's task. If I need to schedule something on Thursday, I go to Thursday's page and see - oh, I'm already all booked up with taking out the trash..
What I see in Entourage is all the task all the time. If I filter to just today's task, in Day View, if I go to a different day, it doesn't show me that day's tasks, but either all task or todays.
Frankly, without being able to view tasks per days the program is worthless to me. As a note: it's surprising how almost no PIM programs get this right. Didn't any of the programmers ever use a Franklin Day Planner, or Day Runner before?
In any case, if it can be done I offer my humblest apologies to the fine folks at mactopia. I take it all back. And if not, well then..
Cheers
