Tasks and reminders in Personal folders

Is there an option to enable tasks under personal folders to have the
reminder option in working order?

If the personal folders are not your default folders, then there's no
built-in way for Outlook to have reminders in them. There are third-party
tools you can buy that will implement them, however.
