Tasks and updates did not come through

Afer restoring a project plan. I had some team members resubmit their tasks,
but they did not come through. Do they have to recall their timesheet and
resubmit it and then import the timesheet into their tasks and submit their
tasks again????? Please advise.

Were there pending updates when you deleted the schedule?

How did you restore the schedule?
A) Did you restore from the archive dataase
B) Did you delete the schedule and reload?
C) Did you overwrite the schedule that was already out there?

If you did option B or C then the task unique IDs will be different and I
don't believe you can resubmit the same timesheets into the task statusing
as the timesheet task IDs will still be the old timesheet task IDs and the
task statusing task IDs will be the new task IDs.

Thanks for replying Jonathan. The plan was restored from the archive
database--Option A.

I forgot to ask, since we restored from the archive db (option A), should I
have the team members resubmit their tasks by recalling their timesheet and
resubmit it again and then import the new timesheet into their tasks and
submit their tasks again?????

After you restored the project from the Archive database, did the PM in
question remember to publish the project? If not, that could be the source
of your problem. Forgive me for jumping into this conversation, but I
thought a second opinion might help.

No I don't mind a bit--the more the merrier. Yes, the PM did publish the plan
again.

I think you skip the recall and resubmission of timesheets as this is stored
in a separate set of tables. You might need to re-import the hours and
resubmit the task updates though.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan

Tried it--it didn't work. Looks like we are just going to have to manually
enter the info in. No big deal, but a pain.
