Tasks are being rejected

I have a PM that is not getting his task updates from most of his
resources. He is the owner and the status manager for all tasks on the
project. When we looked at Applied Task Update Requests and Errors
page we noticed he had several task rejections. How would that happen
and how can that be corrected so he can start receiving his task
updates for approval.
