Tasks are saying late, that are not due yet!

I have tasks with start dates of 10/27/09 thru 11/5/09. In the Task Status
Indicator it displayes Over 10% Late. How can this be when they are not due
yet?

We'd have to know the formula behind the indicator to tell you specifically,
but one possibility is that the indicator is based on baseline values and
the current start dates are well beyond their baseline start dates. Have a
look a the formula behind the indicator to sort this out.

How to view the field depends on what kind of field it is and what version
of Project you're using. So far you go away without telling us. If it's a
local field, Tools > Customize > Fields. For 2003 enterprise fields, Tools >
Customize > Enterprise Fields. For 2007 Enterprise fields, go to PWA >
Server Settings > Enterprise Custom Field Definition.

To view your baseline data, insert a baseline field into either a task or
assignment view in Project, or build a view to expose it in PWA.
