Tasks completed with multiple resources on Project Server

I have some tasks assigned to multiple resources on Project Server so that 2
or more people can see them in their task list. When one resource updates
the task as 100% complete, it only updates the task as 50% in the project.
Is there a way to make it so that the task is updated at 100% in the project
when only one resource updates the task as 100% complete?

When one resource updates his work as 100% complete, he is saying that he
has completed his portion of the work. When the other resource updates his
work as 50% complete, he is saying that he has completed only half his work.
How in the world could Microsoft Project ever assume that the task is done
when both resources have not completed their work? The only way that
Project Server will ever update the task as 100% complete is when both
resources submit 100% complete on their task assignments. Hope this helps.
