Tasks Description Disappearing from Project 2007 with Vista

The Content in the "Task Name" column disappears. I have found repeatedly
that when the project plan is re-opened the tasks names field will be blank.
Often hundreds of field will be blank but the - & + for collapse and expand
will be there as well as all the other data like start dates, etc; just the
content on the Task Name will have gone and I have to go back to previous
versions and start the work again. Has anyone come across this issue and is
there a solution. It has become so serious and so frequent that I am
considering de-installing Project 2007 and re-installing 2003.
