Tasks don´t show when creating a new task

Hi everybody!
A team member clicks the Create a new task link in the Actions pane, selects
the Project and click the option "Make the new task a subtask of:" but the
task isn´t there.
There are some subtasks in this task and they appear in the team member
timesheet.
The Project manager has already republished these tasks but we cannot figure
why the tasks don´t show.
Any ideas?
