Tasks from Projects that are Complete Still Showup in Tasks Screen in PWA

Charles L. Simpson

On our projects loaded to Project Server that have been marked as complete
by the Project Managers (% Complete = 100% and % Work Complete = 100%) there
are tasks that still show up in the Project Web Access Tasks screen for the
users from these projects.

It's weird because on a particular task, PWA tells me that I have 32h
remaining work when in Project Pro I have 0h remaining work and everything
in the project is 100% complete.

I have republished everything (all, and assignments) and still PWA thinks
that there are tasks that are not complete.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

After manually updating these tasks in Microsoft Project Professional, are
you completing the following steps:

1. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
2. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
3. Click OK

Let us know.

Thanks Dale ... that worked!

Does anyone know of the consequences of overwriting the actuals reported by
the resources?

Thanks!

The actuals in the project overwrite the actuals on each team members's
timesheet in PWA. You have the option to republish assignments for the
entire project, for a selected group of tasks, for an individual task, or
even for one or more individual assignments (in the Resource Usage view).
Hope this helps.
