Tasks getting scrambled

Hi,

I have a problem where, when I save my project and open it up later
several of the tasks get switched around. Sub-tasks get placed unde
different tasks or just altogether lose the link to their parent task
dates get swapped between one tasks an another, and a few other weir
things happen.

As you might imagine, this makes MS Project completely useless for me
since I can't rely on it to keep my information straight. Any ideas o
what's going on here?

I'm a novice user, and this is the second time I've tried to use M
Project on the same installation. The first time I gave up because o
the same problem.
