Tasks in custom view display incorrectly

I have a view for a project that incorrectly displays some normal tasks as
split when in that view. This view in question is a copy of a default Gantt
view and just filters a few tasks out based on a number. This problem does
not occur when in the default Gantt view.

I also have a similar problem when trying to show a milestone as complete
(by setting up a milestone complete indicator in the task bar styles menu &
selecting actual finish/actual finish). This problem occurs when I am in the
default Tracking Gantt view but not in the default Gantt view.

Any idea of what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

I figured out the problem with the tasks displaying split links in the custom
view. It turned out to be an issue with the resources column. I copyied the
info from the resources column into a text column and the problem was fixed.
