Tasks in PWA

The company I work for uses Project 2003 and Project Server 2003. Each IT
team uses project to track their resources time. We have a "Forecast Only"
task that is used only for the managers but this task shows up in PWA for
each resource. We don't want resources to enter any time to this task but
they do. Is there any way to make this a "read only" or a different color in
PWA so time can not be entered for this task or do you have any other
suggestions?

There is no way to in Project Server 2003 to have a task show on the View My
Tasks page as Read-Only, nor is there any way to change its color. This is
simply a major training and performance issue with your team members. When
a team member submits progress on this "information only" task, the PM in
question should immediately REJECT the task update. And then you should run
the team member through your company's "automated spanking machine." Just
kidding. But you do need to deal with the team member to find out why this
disobeyed your direction on this matter. Hope this helps.
