tasks involved in the longest chain

Hi,
I want to show tasks involved in the longest chain with a particular
colour(say brown). I do not know how to identify task involved in the longest
chain (may not be necessarilly the critical path).I am new to VBA and I have
to do this through macro.
Please let me know how to do this.
eg. My project's summary task shows project duration as 101 days whereas sum
of the critical task is coming to 89 days and total task's duration is 234
days. I want to know which are the tasks which contribute to this 101 days.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
AFAIK the critical path is the longest chain.
What's the difference?
From your 89 days to the 101 there must be lags or constraints.

Thanks Jan for the quick reply.
Actually, I am trying to apply CCPM rules on my project schedule.
For this, First I have crushed all tasks in my project duration by 50 %.
Then I pushed all tasks to As Late As Possible.
Then I remove the resource contention.
Then Project duration (summary task) came to 101 days whereas now my
critical task duration shows 89 days.
Now I want to identify which all tasks contribute to this 101 days.

Hi,

What exactly means "I removed resource contention"?
I do stick to my first reply.
The project duration is the critical path duration.
This is not necessarily equal to the sum of all critical tasks' duration.
Suppose one of the critical tasks has a 10 days split in the middle, or
there is a lag of 10 days between two critical tasks, duration of the path
will be 10 days more than sum of durations.
But the PATH will be the same.
Hope this helps,
