I'm working in MS Project 2003 to reschedule tasks beyond a Status Date of
7/31/2009. I used the "Tools > Tracking > Update Project > Reschedule
uncompleted work to start after" function to try and accomplish this
rescheduling.
However, I'm noticing that the Early Finish Dates on some of those tasks are
not being shifted beyond the 7/31 Status Date. The tasks where I'm
experiencing this problem are setup with an As Late As Possible (ALAP)
constraint. Is there a way for me to make these tasks shift out beyond the
7/31 Status Date without changing the constraint to an ASAP type (or adding a
leveling delay)?
Also, is this a bug (i.e., MS Project keeping a date in the past prior to a
specified Status Date)? If so, is there a fix anyone is aware of?
Any assistance/insight is greatly appreciated.
