Ok - I've got sort of two problems that stem from one.
First, I've got some tasks that are linked to one that hasn't finished
yet. However, these subsequent tasks do have some work done on them.
If I try to have the start date be the date they were started, it
causes a split in the task when % complete is entered. I've got one
other task that is linked to this unfinished task - and it started a
while ago, and I have some % complete in it, and it's not split. Why
does this happen sometimes and not others? And how do I make it stop?
Also, in trying to get rid of these splits, I tried removing the
predecessor and just getting the dates and % complete to be how I
need. However, it still seems to be linking the tasks. When I try to
move the start date into the past, it tells me that it's linked and
can't be moved without a schedule conflict. How can I solve this
problem?
Thanks,
Laurie
