Tasks won't recalc.

I have a task with a string of linked sucessors. All are set to ASAP,
althought some once had Start no earlier constraints (I know, I know, tell it
to my boss.)

The first task has no predecessor so it has a start no earlier than
constraint.

If I move that task, the linked tasks do not move.

Calculation is on. there are no external links except those that are
successors.

What can cause this?

Hi Miaplacidus,

Are there actual start dates on the tasks? Apply the tracking table to
the Gantt chart view and check for Actual Start dates. Dlete any that
are there and see if things return to normal.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Miaplacidus,
The most likely cause is that one or more of the tasks in the link
sequence has an entry other than "NA" in the Actual Start field. But
then you kind of throw me a loop in your last sentence. What do you mean
by, "There are no external links except those that are successors"?

No actual start dates.

The file has links to other files, but they are all successors, so they
can;t be pushing or restraining these dates.

Miaplacidus,
How are the files linked? Are the successor tasks external successors or
some other type of link? A little more information about your total file
structure would help.
