Team assignment pool

I am trying to use the team assignment pool functionin Server 2007. What I
wanted to occur was to assign several resources to the team resource and have
them all see the tasks in their my tasks window. This was how the initial
literature indicated it should function. After reading many posts, it seems
that it does not work as advertised. If I set up the team as a generic
resource the tasks wind up in my (the PM) task list. If I set it up with one
of the team as the default owner it will show in their task list and then the
others will have to self assign.

Is there any way to make it work as advertised? We can probably muddle
through with the self assign, but we aren't sure how the other members of the
team will know the task exists. We don't really have a team manager, they are
all equal members and should all have the ability to pick up the task.

(though some of the screen shots got messed up with another blog).

Basically, each team member needs to self assign themselves to the team task
by clicking on the Self-Assign Team tasks button within the my tasks page.

This requires a little more process and procedure than you probably want,
but will work - it needs the resources to go and search for team tasks rather
than having them just appear on a resource's my tasks page.
