Team Assignments in Project Server 2007

Good Morning,
I am using Project Server 2007 with SP2 and trying to configure the system
for team assignments. I think I have followed the directions according to the
Project Server Experts website. When I attempt to use this process in a
project with a fixed work (effort driven) task, a total amount of work equal
to 8 hours and I put 4 hours actual work against the test resource who is
associated with the team, the remaining work is still 8 hours for the team.
It doesn't seem like I have this linked correctly. Can anyone point me in the
right direction.
