Team Task Assignment

Project Pro 2007 SP1 and Project Server 2007

A user is trying to self-assign a team task and gets the following message:
"Invalid Task - Could not self-assign one or more tasks, because the task
may have been deleted, or self-assigned by another team member."

Neither of these scenarios are true because I created a new project schedule
with this task to test self assigning the team task. The other team members
were aware to not self assign.

The weird part is that if you close the browser and open a new one. The
task is assigned to the individual.
Any ideas?

I've seen this before, I'm certain it's a bug. Can you send updates to the
task? I've also seen that tasks like these will accept input from the
resource but won't update to the PM. Let us know.

The resource was able to post time to the PM. It does not seem to be a
consistent error. I tested with another new project and task, with the same
resource, and everything worked ok.
