The solution is implemented with Project Server 2007. We are having a
challenge with the team assignment pool. A project schedule has individual
resources assigned to tasks and those tasks are showing up in the team task
section of the My Task view.
The team assignment pool is configured as follows:
1. Generic was created for the team pool and the team pool assignment
checkbox was checked for that generic.
2. Team Names lookup table populated in enterprise codes.
3. Resources assigned a team
I don't know why the tasks that have been assigned to an individual resource
are showing up in the team task section. The resource is not able to assign
themselves to the task - they get a permission error.
I have tested with small project schedule and assigning a task to a team
pool account. It shows in the team task section. The resource tries to
assign themself the task and an error msg displays. "Invalid Task - Could
not self-assign one or more tasks, because the task may have been deleted, or
self-assigned by another team member". None of those conditions are true.
If the user closes the browser and opens a new browser, the task is assigned
and moved to her tasks section. This doesn't happen with refreshing the
browser...must open a new instance.
Basically, the team assignments are not working for us and is a real problem
at this point. We have Service Pack 1 installed - thought that may help but
did not.
