V
Virtual Nomad
Environment
Windows XP Pro (SP1)
Office XP Standard
Exchange 2000 running on SBS 2000
Issue
I have come accross the problem a couple of times, where the temp
files are not being deleted when exiting out of outlook 2002. While
often this problem is overlooked when you continually recieve
attachements of the same name (ie resume.doc) it appears outlook
eventually spits the dummy with the following error.
Can't create file: resume.doc. Right-Click the folder you want to
create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to
check your permissions for the folder.
On investigation there are hundreds of temp files named resumeXYZ.doc,
delete these and the problem goes away.
Question
Is there a patch or a reason why these files would not be being
deleted ? I realise disk clean-ups, login scripts can be used to
correct this problem but I felt outlook should not do this.
Any ideas
