Temp environment variable

Every time I open Word 2007 a message appears saying the work file cannot be
opened. Check temp environment variable.
How can this be solved?

Choose Start - Run.
Type in services.msc and press Enter.
This should open the Services control window.
Select DCOM Server Process Launcher and make sure it is running.

it is running. what now I still get the error and it won't let me save any
documents

Under Word Options, Resources tab, run the Diagnostics option.
