TEMP files for Notepad xhtml files

I've been working in FrontPage for a few years, so know where the *.web
files are to get rid of. Also know where to get rid of the FP temporary
files. It is second nature to get up there and delete them.

I'm working now with XHTML strict, with Notepad as my editor. I have
registered this with IE, and also clarified in FrontPage that FP is not my
current editor. I do not have a web authoring program open - just Notepad
and the browser.

Yesterday, I was not able to get rid of text in the internet refresh window
several times, even though I had made the proper correction in html. Where
are 'those' temporary files kept? and what kind of a file am I looking for
(what do they name these files?)

(I also know about FPCleaner, but would like an answer to this question
anyway). Thanks

It's as good as done! Thanks, Steve.

: If you're using Notepad, and then opening the file in the browser, the
browser is most likely displaying
: a copy cached in the temporary internet files.
: That's why saving using notepad doesn't update the page in the browser,
because notepad can't safe to the TIF.
: Close the browser and then reopen the page.
