template and fill in form

I hope someone can help me. I am working on a business card template for our
company. The company logo will already be printed on the business card, the
employee will only need to fill in their own information. We have hundreds of
employees and I want to card to look the same for everyone. I want to make a
template that the employee can open and once they start filling in their own
info, the required font is already in place with the spacing and everything.
I think this is possible in word, but it would be so much easier to work with
in Publisher. Anyone know how??

Thank you so much in advance...

Not in Publisher.
I would do it with a fillable PDF document.
Print your Publisher layout to Acrobat (the full Acrobat, not just the
reader)
Then create a fillable form field(s) for the areas you want the employee to
fill in. You can specify font, color, size etc. Doing it this way they will
not be able to change anything except what you want them to.

Then all they have do do is a Save As adding their name to the file name and
email the file to your printer...or you or whatever.
Of course you need Acrobat as most of the freebies can't/won't be able to
create a fillable form pdf.

Are you saying hundreds of employees have Publisher on their computers and will
have this business card template to fill in also on their computer?

Create your business card template, create a separate text box for the
employee's name. Put everything but the name text box and whatever information
the employee needs to fill in on the Master page (ctrl + m). Save as a Publisher
template. I'd create an empty textbox positioned where the logo will be on the
card.

Lots of luck...

You can create a text style for the card. Open help...type style.
