Template based doc referencing back to dot

How do I stop documents based on an office template referencing back to the
orginal template? i.e. we are having speed issues when transfering documents
to other offices. When the file is transfered to be worked on (file moved off
orginal site to another office) it takes a long time to open as i assume it
is referencing the orginal template which is based in another office.

I have now upgraded to Office 2007 and it actually states on the task bar
that it iopening the template from the other server. Can we stop this
happening as all the styles etc are saved with the document, so what is it
referencing?

Attach the documents to "Normal" template, or supply copies of the templates
in use to the folders indicated by each user's User Templates location.

If the same-named templates exist in the user's User Templates or Workgroup
Templates folder, Word will use the local copy in preference.

Sorry: I will have to get you to look these up in the Help, you're in the
Mac Word group and I do not have PC Word available currently to check for
you.

Cheers
