Template Changes

I am using a Word Template for a newsletter. Somehow, in the last issue I was able to change the issue number, but I cannot find the mechanism that would allow me to do that. I am altering the last newsletter and just putting in new information which seems to be working, but I cannot find out how to change the header from Issue 3 # 8. ( I want Issue 3 # 9).

Any help would be well appreciated.

Most of the placeholders in templates are basic "click 'n' type" features,
but there are some variations. Once you enter content into them the
"mechanism" no longer exists, having been replace by your content.

Your message also suggests that you're attempting to generate the new
edition of your newsletter on the previous edition. Why are you not basing
the new edition on the template?

However, there are 16 Newsletter templates supplied with Office 2008, more
available from the MS site as well as other sources, not to mention the
possibilities for custom templates. Without any indication of which one
you're using or specifics about its design it's difficult to offer any
explanation or suggestions.
