Template for 8.5 X 14 booklet with two folds?

I would like to create a document using 8.5 x 14 paper to be used as a
concert program. I currently create programs using 8.5 x 11 with one
fold. I plan to fold the sheet at 5.5 and 11 inches and use the extra
3 inch "flap" for notices, ads, etc.

I did a search of the group and found one howto to open a new document
using 8.5 x 14 paper but the instructions are not working for me.

"Go to file/new.../publications for print/brochures and choose any
template
for 2fold three page brochure.
John Bland"

Should "file/new" bring up another dropdown menu "pubications"? Do I
need to add more templates to Publisher 2003?

There will be no template for your setup. You are better off setting up your
brochure manually.

Setup your printer for legal first. In page setup change the orientation to
legal.

Set guidelines at the 5.5 and 11 inch. You can change margins in the arrange
menu.

File - New should open a task bar on the left of your screen where you can
select Brochures, etc.

Thank you. From the responses I expected a dropdown menu from "New"
before the new doc opened.

Actual operation - "File --> New" first opens a blank document, then a
"Publications Designs" menu to the left of the new document.

Can you recommend a book that steps users through simple and complex
design tutorials? I need to design the program with pages 1 - 4 in
the 8.5 x 5.5 pages but have the 8.5 x 3 flap be pages 5 & 6. I don't
flow text automatically but edit page content manually.
