Template has gone blank

We have been using a template to create labels for a while now and I went to
open it yesterday and it came back as a blank word doc. Any suggestions?

Did you expect to see text or just gridlines?

Gridlines are easy.
Word 2003: Table - Show Gridlines
Word 2007: Table Tools - Layout - View Gridlines

Missing text isn't so easy. If you don't have a backup of the template, you
could start with an existing file made from that template and delete the
data you don't need. Save it as a template.
