NEED TEMPLATE HELP

I need a inventory template for BOOKS ON TAPE - that has a space for;
TITLE--EDITION--AUTHOR(s)--READ BY(s)--ISBN #--RETAIL PRICE--SALE PRICE(THAT
I CAN CHANGE)--CONDITION--PLACE FOR PHOTO-- I have tried to find one myself
with any luck. If not stocked, how can I make one ? I am new to word &
computers. Thank you !

If not for the photos, I'd do it in Excel. Ideally, Access should be used.

She said you need to make a nine-column table.

NEED TEMPLATE HELP

I tried the instructions at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/TableBasics.htm this is too advanced
for me. could you tell me how to put a picture on the left side of the page
& put the text next to the picture. It would help me if template has places
for TITLE--EDITION--AUTHOR(s)--READ BY(s)--ISBN #--RETAIL PRICE--SALE
PRICE(THAT
I CAN CHANGE)--CONDITION I think about 10 books per page would look good.
Thank you

As no less than three extremely competent MVPs have told you, YOU DO
NOT NEED A TEMPLATE. AT ALL. OF ANY KIND.

All you need is a table. You have not revealed which version of Word
you use, but somewhere you will find "Insert," and when you click on
"Insert," you will find "Table." That will open up something on which
you can either enter a number of columns for your table (type "9") and
a number of rows (it doesn't matter what you type here, since you make
new rows by simply pressing Enter when you get to the end of the last
row you have), or else you drag your cursor across the little picture,
for 9 columns and some rows.

Then type your eight headings in the last eight boxes (they're called
"cells") in the first row (leave the first one empty because you're
going to put the pictures under there).

Then start entering your information in each row.

How many rows fit on a page depends on how much info you put in each
row -- here, how big your pictures are.

There's even a way to make that first row repeat at the top of every
page, automatically.

And a way to say whether you want all, no, or some of the lines around
the table cells to show.

No insult intended, but if you can't create a table you certainly can't
create a template for the purpose either because the template would have to
include a table. Perhaps you might consider hiring the job out to someone
who has the requisite skills.
