I am using Microsoft Word 97 and am having issues with a template file.
All my local users have a network path to our Workgroup templates area
In this area I have created a .DOT file as a form for all to use.
This .DOT file has macros in it for all to use. My problem is tha
I’ve been asked to distribute this template to other locations outsid
my network. When I’ve mailed the template out to another location the
have issues with the macros. They’re able to open the document withi
their Outlook 2000 client, use the macros and save the .DOC just fine.
When they close out of the mail message the temporary template copy i
removed but the new .DOC still references the temporary .DOT filename.
At that point the macros can no longer be used to modify the .DOC. I
there something I should do differently here? Can I get the macros t
copy into the new .DOC so I don’t have a need to reference th
origination .DOT file
