Template Load Problem

It seems I have been working on the simple task of modifying the site
template Project Workspace forever. All I want to do is have a built
in Document Library structure for project managers.

I have tried this guide:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserv...

As well as the step-by-step over at projectserverxperts.com:
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/CustomizeWSSte...

All steps work when I run them but I still cannot select my modified
template from the Site Template dropdown menu, Project Workspace is the
only one on there.

I see my template when I run stsadm.exe -o enumtemplates just not in
the Site Template menu in MS Project Pro 2003.

Any help would be much appreciate!

Thank you for your time

I faced the same issue. Close any session of PWA on your system. Then logon
again to PWA & see if it works.

If not then make sure you have a WSS site for the root. eg. if
http://Project:7070 is your WSS site root. then make sure root site exist. I
deleted mine & was just using http://Project:7070/sites/public_Documents &
other project sites under /Sites. During this process I recreated my root wss
site.

I got it taken care of, it was a combination of the solution FaisalM
purposed and the fact that I was loading the template into the wrong
instance of SharePoint (production vs test).

Thank you for all your help,
