My company uses a template file called Author.dotm to deploy a toolbar and standard styles for writing our documents. We put it in a location on each user's C: drive, like this:
C:\OurLocation\author.dotm
so that as a document gets passed around it always looks in the same place for the toolbar. It's worked like a champ for years.
Now the documents are behaving differently for one of my new users. Instead of looking in C:\OurLocation, all of her documents, when opened, look for the toolbar in her default template location, C:\Users\Hername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates. Even worse, when the gives the document to another user, the document looks in user 1's template folder, not even the default template folder of the 2nd person opening it!
I've never seen this behavior before. Any ideas what's causing it?
Thanks in advance.
