Hi David:
You can put them anywhere you like. Office 2004 was a bit restricted in
that the folder you used must be set in the Word>Preferences>File Locations.
If a template was anywhere other than the User Templates or Workgroup
Templates location, Office 2004 couldn't use it.
That bug has been fixed, so you can put them anywhere you like.
By default, Office 2008 uses the User's "Application Support" folder. E.g.
/Users/~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/
I have moved mine to a location I share with Windows Word 2007 which is on
the same computer.

Any recommendations on the best place to load up older Templates for word,
excel, ect in the new 2008? I have tried to dig out the "Defualt" locatio
to no luck.
