I am using Word 2003. I have created a word template that includes a visual
basic program that prompts the user with a user form.
The problem: I post the template to the county intranet, when I click on the
link to the template from the IE6 browser window, I am prompted to open/save
the file. I want the users to choose open and have them prompted with the
user input form. When I choose open, the template opens in the browser but
the macro (user form) doesn't run.
I work for our county government and the county administrator wants to
standardize the letterhead stationery, interoffice memos and fax cover
sheets. Keep in mind the county departments are scattered through the county
and do not share the same mailing address and phone numbers. My goal is to
have the Word 2003 template with a user input form for stationery, memos and
fax cover sheets. I want the template to display the user form to capture the
department name, department director name and title, as well as address,
phone, etc.
I would greatly appreciate any and all suggestions.
