Template set up for double spacing-how to single space w/i docume

Using a template that is set up for double spacing. How can I single space
w/i the document w/o undoing the double spacing? i.e. Left margin entries
(#'s down left margin) need to be double spaced but some entries need to be
single spaced. When I try to single space the text that should be single
spaced, it messes up the left margin entries that should remain double spaced.

You can't do that with automatic line numbering.

The way the Pleading Wizard does it is to anchor a text box in the header,
running down the left margin, and insert fixed "line numbers" in the text
box. That's completely independent of whatever text is in the body of the
document.
