Template shortcuts on menu or toolbar

We would like to add shortcuts to our templates to a menu or toolbar. We
want the template to be launched as a "new document".

Any ideas how we can do this?

What version of Word are you using?

The code you need for the macros is of the following form

Documents.Add Template:="C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office" _
& "\Templates\Memos\Professional Memo.dot"

For versions of Word before 2007, you would use Tools>Customize the create a
new toolbar/add buttons to an existing one.

In Word 2007, you might want to modify the ribbon to add the buttons to a
custom tab
