Using Office XP, I created several document template for use by 25 or 30
tech writers. We are having several problems.
1) Without anyone changing the style names something in Word is causing '
Char' to be appended to the style name one or more times.
2) Very often, a document paragraph spontaneously changes font style or
size. Re-applying the style does not restore the proper format. It is
necessary to manually restore formatting to each affected paragraph
individually.
3) Very often the heading styles in the template spontaneously change from
numbered to bulleted or the paragraph indenting changes. When this happens,
we have to redo the heading style formatting and this wastes a lot of
valuable time.
Are we doing something wrong, or is this just a series of terrible,
time-wasting bugs?
Thanks,
