Template submission - a few basic questions

Hi, Am new here in the community (am sure u know by now :) ). I was looking
at the process of submitting templates and When I went through the process in
the related pages, I couldn't get answers to a few questions -

1. Should the templates be in the form of office document ONLY? Meaning, if
I have, say, an excel template that is wrapped as an exe. Is that allowed?
[Except the fact that it is wrapped in an exe, the basic template is Excel
2007 itself]

2. In one of the pages, Msft mentions that Macros shouldn't be present! Does
it mean, the template cannot have ANY macros at all??? Or it to be
interpreted differently?

3. If the answer to question# 1 above is Yes, then can a trial period be
applied to it?

No, the file must be a template. No EXE files.

The template cannot have any macros.

You're welcome.

If you want to distribute templates with trial periods, you might look into
posting your products on Microsoft Marketplace.
