template task pane

I've created a document based on a template. Now EVERY time I open it, the
pesky template task pane opens as well. Is there any way to turn it off? Is
there some way to convince Word that this is no longer a template but just a
document now?

Hi Michael,

See if using File=>Save As if you can save it as a .doc file.
The template help shows up in Word 203 based on the settings
in Help=>Customer Feedback Options=>Online Content
