Template that a client can edit?

Hello,

I am a word newbie and woud appreciate any advice on the creation of a
word template. I need to create a template in which a client can
change the title that appears on the top of the page. Also, I need
them to use a particular font. Is there any way to embed the font in
the template or some how install the font in their system. One last
thing, could this one template work for both mac and PC's?
