template upgrade ?

Hi,

I have an infopath template and xml-data created with that template.
Now I add/change some GUI-elements in my template and publish a
new version.
How can I upgrade my older xml-data to display the data with the new version
of the template ? What can I do with the upgrade.xsl ?
I am NOT using VS.NET...

If you are changing GUI elements, why do you need to change the XML
data? If you are just changing the look, why change the XML of
existing docs? Are you getting errors?

No, I add / change text fields or rename items. If I open an old data-file,
infopath says, that
the data are not valid....
