I work for an investment bank that uses a variety of legal forms for a given
transaction. All legal forms use fields like client name, deal name,
location, etc. Currently, we have individual templates for each of these
forms, consequently we're having to fill out the form separately despite the
data fields essentially being the same.
I'd like to create some sort of a form that allows me to fill in these data
fields and spit out the legal forms all at once. I have a couple of
questions. Which application would be best suited for this type of task
(i.e., Infopath, Excel, Word, etc.)? Also, can you get me started on how to
go about doing this. Thank you very much!!

Well if I were to do this I would create a simple Access database.
create a table with the standard information that you need to fill out on
each form.
Then create the form locating each field where you want it on the page. Do a
test print on plain paper and overlay it on your form for positioning and
make any changes you need.
A word of caution with doing this in any program, that the form you create
is based on your default printer (its internal margins etc) and if you print
to a different printer it may be off.
