Using Word 2007, how can you tell what template has been applied to a
document? Is it listed under properties somewhere?

It appears that there are a couple of ways of determining the template for
document and were 2007. Probably the best way is to use the Developer tab on
the Ribbon. First, you need to make sure that the Developer tab is visible
in the Ribbon -- by default it is not.

To put Developer tab on the Ribbon:

1. Click the round "Office" Button in the upper left.
2. At the bottom, click on the button labeled "Word Options".
3. On the next box, "Popular" should be the category that's highlighted.
4. In the middle of the box check the box "Show Developer Tab in the
Ribbon".
5. Click "OK" to accept the change and exit the dialogue.

Now that the Developer tab is visible, you can click on it. The last item
on the toolbar (at least it's last on my system) is the "Document Template"
button. Click on this and you have your information.
