Our firm has several standard macros written that are embedded in
'normal.dot' and manually placed onto a new computer when it is readied.
Users can do their normal tweaks to normal.dot and that in turn limits the IT
team's ability to change the contents of macros as the standards are updated.
We are looking for ideas and improvements on this idea:
- create a separate DOT file that can be launched via a icon deployed to
desktops
- limit this template to just a single modified toolbar that has launch
icons for macros such as:
- open fax or label template
- open Outlook forms (if possible)
In general, we would be limited to modifying the generated macros as we do
not have in-house VB or VBA development staff.
Thanks.
