I am working on making a prototype powerpoint template for my
organization. I have used the Slide and Title masters to create the
title and generic layout for normal slides, what I would also like to
do if it is possible is to create a sub topic or transition and closing
slide. In case I'm not describing this well enough, the sub
topic/transition slide would be a simple slide that would be a title
slide for the next series of slides, for example if the powerpoint was
about MS Office, the transition slides would be Word, Excel,
Powerpoint, etc...

Then I would like to incorporate a closing slide that will be a queue
before getting to the "End of Show" message at the end of a powerpoint
presentation. Something like the company logo in the full size of the
slide.

Is there a way to add these to the template I'm creating, or a way to
do something similar? I'm looking to make this as easy as possible to
our end users so that all they'll literally have to do is click the
slide layout they want and the backgrounds and title/transition title
layouts are already in place for them.

You cannot create your own slides layouts in powerpoint, that can be used in
the traditional sense of the pre-set layouts.

However, there is nothing to stop you creating several 'ready to go' slides,
and have the end user 'duplicate' each slide before they edit the text for
each slide they need.

All the free sample backgrounds on this page, that you can download,
illustrate this technique
